At JCE we don’t just design world-class electrical control systems – we build and verify them in-house to the highest international standards.

Built in Britain, engineered for hazardous environments

All manufacturing is carried out in our purpose-built facilities in Aberdeen and Plymouth, both accredited under ISO 9001:2015 and the Made in Britain scheme. Every enclosure, panel or integrated package is produced by our multi-disciplinary team using state-of-the-art equipment, giving us complete control over quality, lead time and traceability.

Certified manufacturing for Zone 1, Zone 2 and beyond

Whether it’s an ATEX/IECEx battery enclosure, a Zone 1 motor control centre or a hydrogen-safe distribution skid, we machine, assemble and wire systems in aluminium or stainless steel to match the exact protection concept required (Ex d, Ex e, Ex n, Ex tb and more). Our flexible production lines allow us to move seamlessly from one-off prototypes to batch runs without compromising compliance.

Rigorous in-house testing

Before anything leaves our workshop it undergoes a full suite of mechanical, electrical and functional checks, including factory acceptance testing and power-up simulation. For restricted-breathing (Ex nR) equipment we run dedicated vacuum decay tests using our own test rigs and certified kits, ensuring each enclosure maintains pressure within the IEC 60079 limits.

Data-driven documentation & certification

All test results are digitally recorded and supplied with the finished equipment alongside material certificates, wiring schematics and conformity documents. Where required, we arrange third-party witnessing and liaise directly with notified bodies to expedite ATEX, IECEx, NEC 500 or EAC approvals.
